Does the bladder actually come with it?
Yes. Unlike most listings that show a bladder and don't include it, the Nomad ships with a 2L insulated blue bladder AND the bite-valve drink tube in the box. Nothing to buy separately - and the back sleeve fits up to a 3L bladder if you ever want more range.
Is it hard to clean? Will the bladder get moldy?
The bladder has a wide screw-cap opening so you can reach right inside to dry and rinse it properly - the #1 cause of bladder mold is a narrow opening you can't clean. Freeze it half-full overnight for ice-cold water on a hot run.
I'm a beginner / training for my first race. Is this overkill?
